I’m an Adelaide wedding photographer, and I take my craft seriously. Twenty years in events and hospitality taught me how a wedding day flows and how a room moves. I know when to step in, when to step back, and where the real moments happen while everyone’s looking the other way.
I studied film and television, graphic design and film photography, and it shapes how I see every wedding. I look for light, story and atmosphere, not just a line-up of poses. The result is photos that feel more like film stills than a traditional wedding album.
I’m as invested in my couples as they are in me. From our first chat, I’m in it with you: getting to know you, what matters to you, and how you want your day to feel.

I'm Lucy. I photograph weddings the way they actually happen. My focus is documenting your day as it unfolds, with time set aside for a little creative flair and a gentle nod to the elevated, editorial look. And always good vibes. No manufactured moments.

I've been photographing weddings since 2018, across Adelaide and beyond, in both digital and film. I take on a limited number each year, so every couple gets my full attention, right through to your final gallery. I work best with couples who know what they want and aren't settling for anything less.

Wedding Photography
Your day, documented exactly as it felt. A quiet elopement or a full-blown party, it gets the same care. No pulling you away from your people, no stiff poses, no manufactured moments. Just the colour, the closeness and every beautiful thing in between, from the first enquiry through to the last delivery. And if there's a dance floor, I'll be on it.
I’m an Adelaide based photographer who specialises in real life moments. Capturing everything from weddings, family portraits, newborns, commercial events, music and theatre. As well as selling prints from my own personal photography (I hope you like clouds!).
Who is Lucy Partington Photography?
’ve been taking photos since I could hold a camera, and photographing weddings for over ten years, across Adelaide and beyond, in both digital and film. It became my full-time work a few years ago, and I take on a limited number of weddings each year, so every couple gets my full attention, right through to your final gallery. I work best with couples who know what they want and aren’t settling for anything less.
How long have you been doing Photography?
Oh yes – we all do, don’t we? If you’ve come this far I hope it means you’re into my pictures (or you just like read FAQs?!). I shoot as I see - always in the style of documenting. I love doing portraits, I really love engaging with people and making them feel at ease infront of the lens. And I also love to get creative.
What’s your style? Do you have one?
If for any emergency reason I’m unable to attend a wedding (it would only ever be an emergency that could keep me from you!), I have a close support network of accomplished photographers to call on – you won’t be without an amazing photographer!

Will I photoshop your face onto a Kardashian body? No.
Will I edit your photos to bring out the absolute magic of the day? Yes.

A whole lot of fun is what I am!! Ok, seriously… I am the ultimate professional, but I like to keep things light-hearted to make sure that everyone is comfortable and having a good time. Because that is when the gold comes out, and I’m ready and waiting to capture the magic!
What are you like on the day?
Certainly - These are ‘add-ons’ which you can purchase at a later date. All my packages are a base price to start with, then we can tailor these further to suit what you’re looking for, priced accordingly.
Albums?
Documentary style photography is where there is minimal intervention or instruction by the photographer, simply allowing whatever is unfolding to do so and to capture things as they are naturally occurring. Whilst I do give a bit of instruction (and encouragement!), this is how I like to approach my work. I love to capture the raw and truthful moments, and this is when it happens, when it is allowed to.
What do you mean by documentary style of Photography?
I’ve actually lost count... but average 15-20 per year. This is based on what I can currently hold keeping in mind I shoot families, unit stills and some commercial throughout the year. Aside from keeping me sane, it also enables me to give my full attention and concentration to you throughout the process.
