THE extras
If you’ve made it this far, welcome.
It means my work has sparked your curiosity, and you’re wondering, who is this 'Lucy Partington'?
If my branding hasn't already given it away, I have an unapologetic love for colour—vibrant tones that scream out YAS and demand attention. I won’t bore you with the typical “I picked up a camera when I was young” story— too cliché, and besides, my original dream was make commercials (I use to tape add breaks and re-watch them over and over).
I'm a creative person. I love drawing, painting, music (classical and film scores are my go-to)
But why photography?
Photography gives me creative freedom that’s almost impossible to resist. It allows me to capture what I see, frame by frame, and create something uniquely my own. There’s magic in that, something raw and unrestrained.
I love meeting people and soaking in the vibrant energy of what's around me —the hustle, the bustle, the curated chaos. How people interact solo or with one another. And apart from people, I have a deep, deep love for clouds. The Renaissance period truly captured the essence of clouds and their formations. There is rarely a day that doesn't pass where I won't stop to watch the clouds for a moment. It grounds me. There's something so poetic about their constantly shifting shapes—a transient beauty that sparks my imagination.
David Bowie once spoke about: “I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.”
